Timothy A. Krochuk is a managing member of GRT Capital Partners, LLC and a portfolio manager for the long/short and quantitative strategies within the firm. He also serves as the quantitative research director for GRT Capital Partners, LLC. Mr. Krochuk has been involved with investment research and management since 1991.
From 1996 to 2001, he was the portfolio manager of the Fidelity TechnoQuant Growth Funds which had approximately $100 million in assets, and from 2000 to 2001 of Fidelity Small Cap Selector Fund which had approximately $1 billion in assets. Mr. Krochuk is best known for his "Techno-Quantitative" style of investing. This blend of technical and quantitative techniques appeals to the institutional side of money management.
From 1994 to 1996, Mr. Krochuk served as an analyst and from 1992 to 1994 he served as an associate at Fidelity Investments. In these roles, he used advanced quantitative techniques to study a variety of industries. Mr. Krochuk was responsible for the development, programming and implementation of investment models used in managing over $20 billion in public mutual funds. He is an experienced programmer and systems administrator.
Mr. Krochuk holds an AB in economics from Harvard College ('92). While at Harvard, Mr. Krochuk was also the President of TAK Programming Group Inc., a systems integration firm. In addition, he is a member of the Supervisory Board of GLG Pharma SA. Mr. Krochuk is also a CFA charterholder.
